Tonga Riots - The people are tired of waiting

1pm Thursday 16th November 2006 "The people are tired of waiting and feel they have waited long enough" I am told when I ask - Why are they doing his?

This photo was taken as we were leaving the CBD Thursday afternoon. This was the first of the damage that I had seen.


Taken from our window about 4pm "Oh Sh**!!" is what came to mind.




So we went into town and the photo above is our building we had just finished setting the new network up! (Could have spent the week at beach! Darn!)



Friday morning we went back into town Police and Army road blocks had town cordoned off.

One of the buildings of the 80% in the CBD which burned to the ground.
