What is the Kingdom of God?

So I was asked a while ago "What is the Kingdom of God?'' well I couldn't think up much of an answer so have been doing some reading and even as a result have enrolled in a course. But now for this blog post to start formulating some of the throughts around the Kingdom of God.

Charles r. ringma Some quotes (from chapter thirteen) follow...

"The Kingdom of God instead is all about the nature of God as creator and redeemer extending 'his' love, care and goodness to all creation. "

"When God's care for the poor becomes our concern for the poor then the Kingdom of God is breaking in amongst us (Prov 22:9, Isa 58:7, Luke 4:18-19, Matt 26:34-40).
In many parables Jesus speaks about the nature of the Kingdom of God. And besides its mystery and its growth, he refers to its subversive nature. Things are turned around. Things are turned right side up: the poor are blessed and meek inherit the earth."
